Radical Change? Ted & Honey Cafe, Cobble Hill, Gets a Bathroom

Ted & Honey, in the "Red Deli" space at 264 Clinton Street at Verandah Place (right next to Cobble Hill Park), always has a line. The egg sandwiches, which you can get all day, are a big hit (one Yelp review says, "the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a looong time.")

The fact that everything's homemade (try the scones!) and an effort is made to use sustainable sources is a big draw. The mouthwatering bacon is from a local farm. And you can't beat the location -- right next to charming Cobble Hill Park. Lots of stroller moms here.

But for the first year of their existence, there was no public bathroom, which certainly kept some coffee-drinking customers away (and really alienated those with young children and/or enlarged prostates).

The day before yesterday, however, a poster on Brownstoner said there is now a sign indicating a bathroom has opened downstairs. Could it be true? If so, Ted & Honey are pushing closer to perfection.

This used to be the Verandah Deli (the Red Deli), which we always enjoyed.

Note that Ted & Honey is closed Mondays.

The Bergen Carroll blog has been following Ted & Honey as well.

Haha thats actually important news for me--the fact that they now have public restrooms, but also that they have sustainable food! I will definitely have to check it out! thanks!

It's true! Ted & Honey does have a bathroom that is open to the public. It is located downstairs close to the kitchen.

That, along with the delicious food and outstanding service, definitely puts Ted&Honey cafe at perfection.
