It Came From the Deep, In Brooklyn Heights

The Brooklyn Heights Blog has been following the fate of a tree pit on Henry Street near Clark that, lacking an actually tree, is getting deeper, muddier and uglier over time.

One BHB correspondent writes, "It is an unsightly mess as it is, and the stagnant water nothing more than a breeding ground for mosquitoes."

But now we find the pit presents a danger far greater than mosquitoes. Just the other day we saw the beginnings of a new life form crawling out of that long-forsaken hole.

What evil comes this way comes?

Primordial horror! It's the Brooklyn Heights equivalent of the Loch Ness Monster.
