Two or three hundred union members and political groups -- led by Brooklyn politico Vito Lopez (who says he was an "insurgent and a reformer" before he was Vito Lopez) marched over the Brooklyn Bridge this afternoon to support Occupy Wall Street.
Marchers rallied at Brooklyn Borough Hall, marched along Cadman Plaza West and then headed over the bridge to Zuccotti Park.
The group was courteously facilitated by the NYPD, which accompanied the march over the bridge on scooters. A white-shirted official was heard commenting on his radio that the marchers were orderly and he didn't require backup.
