After 100 years, the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society is moving its headquarters out of Brooklyn Heights and up to Warwick, N.Y.
“We have submitted a proposal to the Town of Warwick to build a complex there that we’re calling the World Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses,” Richard Devine told the Brooklyn Eagle Tuesday. “We have started the land use process there.”
The current world headquarters and administrative offices at 25 and 30 Columbia Heights, "which are massive buildings — they are 13 and 10 stories, respectively, and 304,650 and 402,300 square feet — are still occupied and the business of the organization goes on," the Eagle reports.
All the details can be found here.

These vile Jehovah's Witnesses brainwash children. When will someone in law enforcement or journalism investigate their criminal exploitation of child labor?
First poster, you're stupid & clueless.
first poster: I think you are referring to the Catholic church. Jehovah's Witnesses have been investigated so many times throughout history, their record always checks out clean. Maybe you are one of the many who are simply envious of their well adjusted happy family lives, their enjoyment of life, and success in the community. They would love to have you study the Bible with them so that you also can find such happiness from God's Word. Many who once criticized them are now themselves Jehovah's Witnesses, after objectively checking out the facts about their faith, and their organization.
Brooklyn's losing something very special and important; it won't take long before it's obvious the loss in dollars and social value! When good moves, evil comes right on in behind it! Just wait and see what takes over the buildings! One has only to remember what the Astrodome was like after a few public events; the utter filth inside and as soon as JW's started renting the facility, they cleaned it to new status from the worst inconceivable filth you can comprehend! They cleaned it annually so the Harris County officials couldn't wait to have them back each year to do the cleaning of that cesspool of public filth! Then, guess what? JW's didn't use it any longer and it became UNUSABLE! It's abandoned and being threatened with leveling it!
They don't pay their employees and don't pay taxes either. I could keep the Astrodome clean too if I had slave labor.
If the members want to worship their false God so be it. Why are women second class members in an organization ran by men? Why does this occult knock Masons when Mr. Russel (founder of this occult) himself a mason, 32 degree York Rite. I would compare this occult to he Church of Scintology, a sick bunch.
The Watchtower Society does not allow itself to be investigated. They pay off people or quickly make a change after the accusation so they come up smelling like roses. JW's have no idea what the WT Society and it's many off shoot corporations are up to or involved in.
As for happy family lives that is not the case for every JW family. The WT religion has been the source of many broken families and much dysfunction in the lives of people who were a part of that religion. There is a reason why 67% who were raised JW's leave.

@2nd poster How very Jesus like of you to respond that way...not
@3rd poster The WT Society only APPEARS to have a clean record. They have made many payoffs and make changes only after an accusation may bring light to the situation.
As for happy family lives that is not true of all JW's. The WT religion is responsible for many broken families and much dysfunction in the lives of people associated with the religion. That's why a survey done in 2007 reports 67% raised JW leave.
The members of the WT religion are not aware of the hypocrisy, scandals, and many involvements of the WT Society,it's offshoot corporations, or officials. Yet many members are not to blame since they are victims of a very polished propaganda machine.
I was riased in that foul JW cult. It was the worst aspect of my childhood. I hope this move from Brooklyn indicates that the outfit has cash flow problems and that it is on its way to the history books; an ugly little footnote in the History of Cults in Christendom.
Since 9/11 they are worried that their HQ near the Brooklyn Bridge and OEM will be hit. Time to move outa town.
