Almost Holiday Craft Fair Time in Brooklyn: Brooklyn Friends School Winter Festival

Here's one of our favorites, a huge all-school event, and great fun for kids:
Brooklyn Friends School will be having their Winter Festival on Saturday, December 4.

Get a jump on holiday shopping and have a blast with your children at this Downtown Brooklyn school's 31st annual holiday extravaganza. Festivities include an "all by hand" craft fair with 45 local artisans; holiday plant and wreath sale; book fair, children's carnival with bouncy rides, mazes, and games; a children's craft activity center; and readings by local children's book authors, headlined by Tad Hills of "Duck and Goose" fame.

Spend the day: Saturday, December 4, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brooklyn Friends School is located at 375 Pearl Street, Brooklyn (one block from Borough Hall and the Marriott Hotel).718-852-1029 www.brooklynfriends.org/winterfestival

Free admission, although tickets at a nominal cost will be sold to the Children's Carnival and Craft Center. Proceeds benefit the Horizons at Brooklyn Friends School summer enrichment program for public school children in Downtown Brooklyn.
