Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Events in Brooklyn

Sunday, January 16 at 3pm: Made in America: King's Dream in Today's Economy, A Martin Luther King Day Celebration at the Brooklyn Museum.

The Brooklyn Community Foundation is partnering with WNYC for its fifth annual Martin Luther King Day celebration. Join WNYC’s Brian Lehrer, WQXR’s Terrance McKnight and Princeton professor Melissa Harris-Perry host an afternoon of spirited discussion and performances. Monday, January 17: BAM welcomes keynote speaker Walter Mosley, novelist and social commentator at the 25th Annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Full details here.
