People were oohing and aahing the handfuls of furry little kittens that were bouncing around the sidewalk in front of the Pets Emporium on Montague Street this past weekend. Volunteers kept their eyes on the little rascals as they curiously clambered over the edge of their baskets.
It was a Kitten Palooza, held by the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, a wonderful group of folks who rescue animals around the Brooklyn Heights/ Brooklyn Bridge area. Kittens of all ages, including some adorable teen-age kittens, are waiting to be adopted.
These cats have been lovingly fostered and taken to the vet for their checkups and shots. We REALLY think you should adopt one or probably two so they don't get lonely while you're at work. There are also some dogs from time to time. Check out the bottom of this page to see what's available.
