National Night Out Against Crime, Brooklyn Precincts, August 2

Craig Hammerman from Community Board 6 sends word that tonight is National Night Out Against Crime 2011:

Once a year on the first Tuesday in August, communities all across the country come together in a sign of solidarity against crime, for public safety, and in support of local law enforcement efforts. Come meet the hard-working men and women who keep us safe.

* For the 76th Precinct (Red Hook): from 4:00pm-7:00pm in Coffey Park, Richards and Pioneer Streets

* For the 78th Precinct (Park Slope): at 7:00pm at Grand Army Plaza

The Brooklyn Eagle has more National Night Out listings: the 84th Precinct festivities in Downtown Brooklyn include bands, bike registration, refreshments (a cookout!) and all kinds of entertainment.

The Eagle also lists the activities and locations of activities for the 88th Precinct in Fort Greene, the 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge, and the 60th Precinct in Coney Island.
