Admirals Row Mentioned As a Fail On Endangered Places List

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has released its annual list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places, and the Wall Street Journal looks at what has become of sites that made the list over the last 25 years.

One of these those listings is "Brooklyn's Industrial Waterfront," which was listed as "Threatened" in 2007.

Five years later, DUMBO, much of the Domino Sugar complex, and the Gowanus neighborhood are not in as much danger as they once were. But efforts to save the long-neglected buildings at Admirals Row in the Brooklyn Navy Yard have failed, WSJ reports. Most of these buildings will likely be replaced with a supermarket.
