Rooftop Films Season Opener This Weekend

The 15th Annual Rooftop Films Summer Series opens this Friday, May 13th, in the Lower East Side. Rooftop Films tells us they're opening with “This is What We Mean by Short Films,” a collection of short epic stories "that could save your life." Then on Saturday, May 14th, they’re presenting the World Premiere of New York Filmmaker Zachary Raines new black comedy Freeloader.

The first film shown in Brooklyn will be the NY Premiere of The City Dark, shown on June 5 at The Old American Can Factory in Gowanus/Slope.

On June 9, Rooftop Films presents Battle For Brooklyn, which tells the tale of a group of people in Brooklyn who come together to fight the Atlantic Yards Project. Shown in Fort Greene Park; Free.
