Cyclist hit hard at Sands and Jay, near on-ramp to Manhattan Bridge. Windshield of white SUV shattered. Can't bring myself to photograph.

A couple hours later we heard over the scanner a request for a wash down on Sands Street.We didn't know why at the time. Now, sadly, we do.
