Le Pain Quotidien ("The Daily Bread"), moving into the space long held by Jennifer Convertible on Montage Street in Brooklyn Heights, will be ready before you know it, workers said yesterday. The kitchen of the all-organic patisserie/restaurant, part of an upscale chain, is all framed out. The communal table made from reclaimed wood will be moved in after the interior is finished.
Le Pain Quotidien's menu is filled with pastries (croissants and pain au chocolat); open-faced sandwiches ("Rustic Tuna, Hummus & White Bean with diced tomatoes and basil pesto"); sharing platters; and salads ("Grilled Chicken Cobb with organic mesclun, avocado, bacon and Fourme d’Ambert").
No word yet on the prices. A variety of opinions about the food on Brooklyn Heights Blog.
