'Vision Zero' Town Hall, at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Tuesday Night

In years past, traffic deaths were seen as inevitable in NYC.

Mayor de Blasio hopes to change that scenario. His plan to reduce fatal traffic and pedestrian accidents -- Vision Zero --will be discussed at a town hall Tuesday night at Brooklyn Borough Hall from 7 - 9 p.m.

The NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, and other officials will discuss the program and get input from residents.

Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg said last week that Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue would be one of the program’s first priorities. Full details at the Brooklyn Eagle.
