Elegance On Livingston Street

Two really elegant bits of detail atop a building housing a hair braiding salon and a tax office on Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn.

If I recall correctly, this is one of the twenty-odd buildings that the Brooklyn Heights Association and the Municipal Art Society said should be landmarked as part of the rezoning of downtown, back in 2004. (The only buildings that were landmarked as a result of that request were the Offermann and Namm and Son's department stores, opposite each other on Fulton Street.)
