Segway Sighting on Montague Street

Sovereign Bank employees were zooming around on Segways on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights Wednesday as part of a bank promotion. They handed out refrigerator magnet clips, too.

Other than for the police, Segways are illegal in New York. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/17/nyregion/17police.html?hp

The NYS Legislature passed a bill in 2007 to make them legal, but Governor Spitzer vetoed it.
