Good Eatin' at Smorgasburg in Williamsburg

The fireworks may have been a disappointment but this past weekend wasn't a total wash -- we took the new East River Ferry to the fabulous Smorgasburg food market in Williamsburg and ate our way to bliss.

First we sampled nibbles (Teriyaki balls, pickles, jams), then we bought lunch (took it to a picnic table in East River Park next door), then we picked up some granola, maple syrup and produce from the farmer's market there.

For desert, we tried bananas dipped in chocolate then rolled in nuts and salt. Recommend!

Smorgasburg takes place every Saturday, and the ferry makes it a snap.
