The Gowanus Lounge reports that nearly 500 people turned out for a Community Board meeting in Park Slope last night to oppose a Department of Transportation proposal to turn Sixth and Seventh Avenue into one-way streets. More than 160 people squeezed into an auditorium before doors were closed to chants of "Let them in! Let them in!"
Let's just say there was "significant community opposition to the plan." See here for more.
