Is This Brooklyn's Most Expensive Rental?

Sotheby's lists a rental in Brooklyn Heights for $40,000 a month. The house -- called the "gem of Brooklyn Heights" -- has nine bedrooms, seven baths and a lovely "wrap veranda" out back. According to Brownstoner, the address is 70 Willow Street, where Truman Capote once "hung his hat." Is this rent justified? Or, as one Brownstoner correspondent says, is it vulgar?
