Sunshine, Music and Hundreds of Kids at 2013 Brooklyn Heights Egg Hunt

The sunny weather brought hundreds of kids and their families to the annual Easter egg hunt at Pierrepont Playground in Brooklyn Heights on Saturday morning. You have to get up pretty early for this one -- the line wraps around the entrance on Pierrepont Street to Columbia Heights and all the way to Remsen Street. (There was a huge crowd last year, too.)

The Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee hid 500 eggs in the playground, but there were several hundred children, so . . .

On your mark, get set . . . go!

While the eggs ran out pretty fast, there was still the playground to play on, plus music, balloons (donated by Heights Kids), and face painting, too.

Lots of delicious treats were baked by members of the Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee. Proceeds from the event fund the Summer Arts and Science programs.
