Good News: Your Eyeballs Won't Freeze Today (But Every Other Body Part Will)

With New York City temperatures in the single digits and wind chills sending us straight to hell, no doubt at some point you'll be asking yourself today: "OMG can my eyeballs actually freeze?"

You'll be happy to hear that science experts (people who post on websites) say that eyeballs don't freeze for a variety of convincing reasons.

According to The Naked Scientists, one reason is that because your eyeball is contained within your head, and your head is kept at body temperature, it never gets cold enough to freeze.

This all changes after you're dead, scientists gleefully point out.

So bundle up!

Snow will start after midnight tonight, and Tuesday's rush hour is going to be a mess.
