This TC Bank thermometer on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights says it all: It's H-O-T!
The official high yesterday was supposed to be 99 degrees, but it appears that some sections of Brooklyn are a bit hotter than that. Today's high is also estimated to be close to 100.
The New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) announced that cooling centers will remain open through Thursday, July 8. Click the link above or call 311 to find the cooling center closest to you. And make sure your pets have plenty of water!
