Two women allegedly into violent jihadist ideology were arrested in Queens on Thursday by the Joint Terrorism Task Force after an undercover investigation discovered they were trying to build homemade bombs.
The women wrote terrorist poetry, were “obsessed” with pressure cookers and the science of bomb making, and discussed killing cops and military targets, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.
The charges were announced by Loretta E. Lynch, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, in Downtown Brooklyn.
