Man Who Emigrated to Brooklyn Three Months Ago Saves Woman's Life

A good Samaritan who jumped onto the subway tracks Monday to save an unconscious woman emigrated to Brooklyn just three months ago from Algeria.

Said Kanoun, 25, works in a sandwich shop and studies English at Long Island University, according to Carroll Gardens Patch.

He was changing trains at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station when he saw the young woman fall onto the tracks. "I see nobody’s jumping, so I took off my bag and I jumped,” he said.
