Huge Counter-Terrorism Exercise Under Brooklyn's Verrazano Bridge

If you were enjoying a ride in a boat today in New York Harbor, you might be aware that the NYPD (and ten other law enforcement agencies) mounted the largest counter-terrorism exercise in New York history today under the Verrazano Bridge.

All vessels near the bridge were boarded and searched in a drill to see if new high tech equipment can detect terrorists with nuclear bombs in the harbor.

It's part of Operation Sentinel, a plan to track every vehicle that enters the city using imaging and radiation detection technologies.
