The Brooklyn Eagle (see update below) has a rendering of the latest hotel — at 611 DeGraw St. near Third — planned for Gowanus.
The developer told the Eagle that "he is still not permitted to reveal the operator of the new boutique hotel, only that it will be a new brand for Choice Hotels, an umbrella hotel company."
Choice Hotels is the worldwide franchiser of Cambria Suites, Comfort Inn, Econo Lodge and others.
According to BNET, the site was sold by Massey Knakal Realty Services in an all-cash transaction valued at $1,400,000.
Below is a photo of the site as it is more or less today, courtesy of Google Maps.
UPDATE: Brownstoner hit this one coming out of the gate. See here for their take on this and all six hotels planned for the Gowanus area.
